Real Time Tracking Overview - Sanav Devices
Things to think about:
- A Tracker must use a "motion sensor"
- Its vital to have "store and forward"
- Best performance requires a "power save mode"
- You must get the configuration leads and software
- Its good to know who makes your device
1) Power Save Mode:
Its important to have a power save mode. With the sanav devices we provide the tracker can stay on while using very little power when not sending position reports. This allows very quick position reports even when the device has been static for a long time.
2) Motion Sensor:
It is vital to have a motion sensor on a device. If you don't you reply on gps positions to trigger the reporting. Even with the best devices this means it will be 100+ meters before you know the asset has moved. With a motion sensor the second the tracker is moved you get its current position. This is vital for both personal location and covert operations.:
3) Store and Forward:
It is important to have store and forward on a gps tracker. This means if your tracker drops out of mobile coverage (signal) then when it gets it back it will forward you all the positions is recorded.
4) Full Retail Pack:
When you purchase a gps tracker we supply the full retail package with software and configuration leads. This means you are free to use whoever you would like for mapping and we do not restrict how and who you use your purchase with.
